Using Powder Coatings In Winter

When using powder coatings in winter, there are several precautions to take:

Ensure suitable room temperature: The performance of powder coatings is influenced by the ambient temperature, so painting in a low-temperature environment may affect the quality and effectiveness of the coating. It is recommended to paint in an environment with a room temperature above 18 ℃.

Control humidity: In winter, indoor relative humidity is generally low. Attention should be paid to controlling the humidity difference between the Powder Coating and the surrounding environment, and timely turning on the humidifier or ventilation equipment to maintain a suitable humidity range of around 50%.

Pay attention to the use of powder coatings: In low-temperature environments, pay attention to the use of powder coatings to avoid particle blockage or uneven coating. In addition, it is important to clean the spray gun in a timely manner to prevent the powder coating from solidifying or absorbing moisture in low temperature environments.

Attention should be paid to material storage: in low-temperature environments, the storage method of powder coatings should be noted. The powder coating should be placed in a well ventilated and dry place, away from damp or easily exposed to cold wind, while also being careful to avoid dust and other pollutants entering the coating.
